Thank you to all those members who sent in their apologies and proxies to ensure that we had a quorum.

We welcome Mrs Dineo Molomo to the board of Directors. She will hold the Transformation portfolio.

REGISTRATION OF RIDING SCHOOLS AND LIVERY YARDS

We have published Guidelines and Rationale so that consumers are aware of what to expect from their equine and equestrian establishments.

This may assist all establishments still in the process of registering to know why the criteria is necessary.

WELCOME TO OUR NEW TRAINING PROVIDERS

A number of new Training Providers have been registered offering potential students a varied choice of venues.

Training Providers are required to supply their syllabus and training material on an annual basis to ensure that they are meeting their terms and condition as set out by CEEPSA.

A fully updated list is available on our website.

BREAKING NEWS

CEEPSA and the SAEF have been talking about the way in which they can co-operate to further the interests of everyone involved in the equestrian industry. At its recent Annual General Meeting the SAEF mandated its legal committee to begin work on the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding to promote such co-operation and provide a basis for a lasting beneficial relationship between the two organizations. The legal committee is now working on this.

CEEPSA is also engaging with the South African Veterinary Association to draw up a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the Complementary Health Therapists sector.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT GROUP BENEFIT SCHEME

We are delighted to report that this is now available to all paid up members of CEEPSA plus two non-members each. This type of policy is not usually affordable to individuals and for instance, grooms who are usually the most vulnerable. For more info contact admin@ceepse.org or to see the list of benefits go to http://www.ceepsa.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/CEEPSA-GPA-FINAL-1.docx.

We urge all members who meet the criteria to take up this opportunity. From 2019 this will automatically be included in the annual subscription.

NEW COMMERCIAL AND ALLIED MEMBERS

We welcome Rand Risk Brokers as a Commercial Member. We also welcome the South African Animal Care and Emergency Response Association and Professional Equine Therapy and Learning Africa as Allied Members.
