RECENT COMMUNICATION REGARDING COACHES
There have been a number of communiques from the sporting sector regarding Coaches which has led to confusion within that part of the industry.
We cannot answer for other Professional Bodies, but can assure you that membership of non-statutory bodies is completely voluntary.
We also assure you that your qualifications are valid and your professional designation as an Equestrian Practitioner is in the process of being loaded onto the National Learner Register Database. In addition your qualification is recognised in 35 member countries of the International Group for Equestrian Qualifications of whom we are a member through EQASA.
The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) by whom ALL professional bodies including CEEPSA are recognised, understand the difference between a generic coach and an Equestrian Instructor/Coach/ Teacher/Trainer who has to deal with two athletes and is very specialised and diverse.
Whilst all of our Coaches have to be equine and equestrian practitioners, this is not the case for a generic coach.
We will be sending out a series of FAQ’s which we hope will address your concerns or queries, alternatively please feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We will not engage on Social Media other than our own FB page, as we deem this unprofessional and counterproductive.
CEEPSA INDUSTRY FORUM AND WORKSHOP
We are planning a Forum in early January 2017, and have identified topics of interest to the Industry. However we would be greatly appreciative of any topics that you as members, wish to include. Please let us know as soon as possible so that we can invite suitable speakers. Please contact email@example.com with your ideas.
DEVELOPMENT OF NEW QUALIFICATIONS
CEEPSA is delighted announce that we have commenced our profiling of the Equestrian Sport Coach/Instructor qualifications as mandated by government (the Quality Council for Trades & Occupations). Read more on our website. www.ceepsa.org/
Please remember that we cannot complete your membership process without you filling in the registration form online, as this is where you agree to the Code of Ethics and to have your name listed on the website and loaded on the National Learner Register Database. We will have no option but to remove your details if we do not have a competed form. You can do this at – www.ceepsa.org.
